So, about sixty of the Spencer side of the family gathered together in Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest just for the fun of it. We took over about eleven chalets (we called them "Hutches"), and basically just used it as a good excuse to catch up with far flung (and sometimes not so far flung) members of the extended

family.

We had a big Barbecue, using the BBQ facilities of four Hutches, on the Saturday night. The youngest generation of the family formed rapid friendships, even

though most of them hardly remember each other from one get together to another.

We spent the Monday at the Holder family get together in Nottingham - the other branch of my wife's family. Again, great to catch up with people who do not get together very much outside of weddings, funerals and other major occasions.
